Assigning Services to Staff

Service assignments control which services each staff member can perform. Only assigned services appear as options when booking an appointment for that staff member.

Assignments prevent incorrect bookings — a junior stylist won’t appear as an option for services they’re not trained for, and a specialist won’t be shown for services outside their area.

  1. Go to the Staff tab.
  2. Tap the staff member.
  3. Tap Edit Services to see the full list of services and their current assignment status.

On the Edit Services screen, toggle each service on or off. Tap Save to apply changes.

  • Owners and admins can edit service assignments for any staff member.
  • Staff members can manage their own service assignments.

You can also manage assignments from the service side:

  1. Go to Settings → Services.
  2. Tap a service.
  3. Tap Staff to see which staff members are assigned.
  4. Tap Edit to add or remove staff from the service.

Both approaches — editing from the staff profile and editing from the service — update the same assignment and are interchangeable.

When you create an appointment and select a staff member, only services that staff member is assigned to are shown. If a staff member doesn’t appear in the list for a service, they haven’t been assigned to it.

Newly joined staff start with no service assignments. Remember to assign them to their services after they join — until you do, they won’t appear in the booking flow for any services.
