Managing Workstations

Workstations represent the physical stations in your salon — styling chairs, treatment rooms, nail stations, or any other space where services take place. Glowcheck uses workstations to prevent double-booking the same physical spot.

Without workstations, two appointments could be booked at the same time in the same chair with different staff. Workstations add a physical layer to scheduling, so the system knows when a space is occupied.

Go to Settings → Workstations to see a list of all your workstations with their name, description, and status (active or inactive).

  1. Go to Settings → Workstations.
  2. Tap the + button.
  3. Enter a name (required) — e.g. “Chair 1”, “Treatment Room B”, “Nail Station”.
  4. Add an optional description for more detail.
  5. Tap Save.

Only owners and admins can add or edit workstations.

Tap any workstation in the list to edit its name, description, or active status.

If a workstation is temporarily out of service (undergoing renovation, equipment broken, etc.), toggle it to Inactive. Inactive workstations won’t appear in the booking flow, preventing new appointments from being scheduled there.

Reactivate it the same way when it’s back in use.

Swipe left on a workstation and tap Delete. You’ll be asked to confirm.

Don’t delete workstations that have existing appointments — deactivate them instead to preserve historical records.

Not all services need to use specific workstations. You can link services to workstations so that only appropriate stations are offered during booking.

  1. Go to Settings → Services.
  2. Tap a service.
  3. Tap Workstations to assign or remove workstation links.

When a service is linked to specific workstations, only those workstations appear when booking that service.

You can view the calendar grouped by workstation using the Workstation view on the Calendar tab. This shows you at a glance which stations are booked and which are free throughout the day.
